O.C.R. Approved Examination Centre providing quality training in Road Haulage both National and International.
A necessary requirement when applying for an 'O' licence is to provide proof of competence The Certificate of Professional Competence is one of the acceptable means of doing this.
COURSE DATES: All Courses are organised to coincide with the quarterly O.C.R. Examinations which are normally early March/June/September and December.
STUDENTS: These courses are suitable for persons either entering or at present engaged in operating Road Goods Vehicles.
CONTENT: The syllabus provides all the necessary information, as defined by the O.C.R. Examinations Board, and attained the Certificate of Professional Competence which is required by the Goods Vehicles Operator (Qualifications) Regulations 1977.
TRAINING: Both National and International 9 day intensive course each.
EXAMINATIONS: 1 x Multiple Choice & 1 x Case Study
The Examination Syllabus is divided into five sections as follows:-
- (a) Road Safety.
- (b) Technical Standards and Aspects of Operation
- (c) Access to the G.B. Market.
- (d) Business and Financial Management.
- (e) Law.
Candidates will need to satisfy the examiners in each section to be awarded a certificate which once passed is a qualification for life.
